This month we are delighted to bring you the winner of this year’s 100% Biker Magazine Award from
Motor Bike Expo. No matter what engine they may have, some bikes just ooze quality and that
indefinable ‘I want to take it home’ quality and we felt that Boccin Custom Cycles’ Pan/Shovel had that
in spades. We hope you like it as much as we did.
As lovely as the Boccin Shovel is, it’s up against some stiff competition in #225 of 100% Biker. There’s
the latest two (a pair of complementary Suzuki GSXs) from Ed Turner Motorcycles; an everyday chopper
ride in the shape of Paul’s Harley; a gorgeous Meriden Triumph boardtracker from Holland while, waving
the flag for Hinckley machines is Carlo’s Bonneville. There’s a Yamaha Dragstar from Bristol Bobbers –
the first of many builds to come from this young (in all senses) West Country firm – and, last but by no
means least, Shaun’s Aprilia RSV-R Mille, a motorcycle that defies description. This is engineering with
a capital E.
We bring you absolutely massive coverage of Stormin’ The Castle and of the Bulldog Bash, while we’ve
also been out to the Yorkshire Pudding Rally, Born Free, the Lion Rally’s Crackin’ It Wide Open show,
the Fenman Classic Show, Overlord and Swiss Moto. We roll it all up with Grav’s Tailpiece tribute to the
Chopper Club’s Land Speed Record attempt with the Pink Triumph. Read how the Diamond Mob did
because, boy, it was good!
