In Old English, February was called Solmonath (Mud month) or Kale-monath (Kale or cabbage month). Now, neither being wrapped in mud nor living on cabbage for 28 days (29 in a Leap Year…) sounds like much fun so, instead, we bring you 100% Biker #217 with which to fill the shortest month of the year.

In fact, a month might not be quite long enough to read about Ed Turner Motorcycles’ wonderful Kawasaki Z1000 or Radikal Choppers’ beautiful board track-inspired Harley Knucklehead, while you’ll want to put aside time for a Devonshire triumph, Tom’s Suzuki GS425 (his first build), a gorgeous Panhead, the final part of Li’l Mark’s MZ build and the winner of Indian Motorcycle’s recent Project Scout. It might be winter but we never take a break from covering events and this month we have huge coverage of the equally huge Custombike event in Germany, while closer to home we visit the Copdock Bike Show, Kent Chrome and Cruisers, the Twisted Iron Garage Turnout, the Brackley Festival of Motorcycling and we even go grasstrack racing. There’s all the usual splendid stuff and a complete lack of cabbage.
