Default Think You're Feckin Clever Eh?

As I'm shovelling away at me hardcore this morning ( hardcore...you know the score!) I starts a wondering....
does anyone know who / what was the first patch club over here in the uk?
interesting to know at what point rockers clubs kinda got replaced by the US style patch clubs ?
Just a thought... anyone know the answer?

I like historical stuff like that.....

Most of the fake Hell's Angels (not sanctioned by the American Chapters) which culminated in the Windsor Chapter murders. After the Shermans had made their position clear, they then sanctioned chapters in the UK. Before that most clubs were MCC's. That's the way I understand it, though I'm sure if I'm wrong, somebody will put me right.

Yeah know the basics of that. But nothing before that .
Just wondered if there was anything further North and not as high profile.

Guess that must be it then..

Seem to remember a club being called "Blood 16" or summat like that around here. They had been long disbanded when I was a kid( early 80's) , but I had heard of them through an ex member.
It's a real shame that non of this kinda stuff is documented - as I'm sure a lot of this is "family tree" stuff into a lot of modern MC's.

Musta taken at least ten minutes to write, in depth or what!

I think 'The Wild One' had a lot to answer for, probably kicked off the HA / Outlaw culture in Britain. Before that mainy MCC's and groups from various areas, like Brixton, where I was. We just met each other in various pubs and bike shops (like Pride & Clarkes) and met up for ride outs and piss ups. Used to belong to Saltbox MCC at Biggin Hill and had a few run ins with the local (fake) HA. Good job it wasn't the real thing.....

The first 'back patch' club was from Wales they wore a Red Dragon , can't remember the name though. I read this in quite a few bike books and mags over the years.

xjtriker666, yes I am aware that Andrew Shaylor's book didn't have 'all h/a members' in it, and yes I can tell you who wasn't in it. The Club will also tell you the history of the Club, but only what is sanctioned as the official history - there are details within that history that are for the Club only, and rightly so.
Not sure why you're bringing up the events of that grim Friday, and quite what either the Wolvo funeral or Mark's death have to do with your argument.

Yeah , a lot of that is documented ( I seem to have a large collection of books that get leant out and never come back - but I still remember a lot of that)
Just seem to remember a lot of smaller patch clubs from my teens such as Pariah? ( Liverpool maybe???) and Lone Wolves ( Blackburn???) and always wondered whether they disbanded or just got patched over.

Just thought people might have had a few memories , as opposed to what's documented.

I apologise, 'argument' was the wrong word - it's the end of the day and I'm running out of words. I just didn't see what mentioning the two deaths had to do with anything, and yes it was a black day, and Mark was a good man and a solid Club member and much missed.

Memories are always far more entertaining than what gets documented, although time seems to fade and rewrite people's memories. Ask twenty people down here the story of the Outcasts and you'll get twenty different (and sometimes wildly different) stories.
