Default A question.....

Odd little Q, please remove it if it's inappropriate - but is there anyone on here who has experience of using weed (for pain relief) while on heart drugs? - Answers on a plain post... no, I mean send me a PM, don't say on here!

Well the thing is, I'm on a long list of drugs and I don't want to make things worse! If I ask the doc he'll just say don't - but if he can't give me anything better, I have to sort something myself so that I can ride my trike, and sleep in a tent!

Just a thought...
Try googling 'health forum California' or something similar to see if you can find any health type discussion board from that State, they'd be able to dispense any advice without fear of legal repercussions.

I seem to remember that arthritis is your biggest problem, as a user of pot back in the early sixties I would say that it won't help too much, although it does relax you and make you laugh at problems, you have to be relaxed and reasonably happy to begin with.. It's not the sort of mood most people can achieve while in the excruciating pain that you suffer..

A friend of mine had so much pain that he sometimes cried, one day he went on holiday to Spain and had to apply amber solaire to his wife's back for her, after two weeks of doing this the suntan cream had soaked into his hands and gave him so much relief that he carried on using it when he got back to Britain..

As for the bad effects of marijuana, someone else sent me the cardiff case "21-year-old man who had a heart attack after smoking cannabis"

He was a smoker, had raised cholesterol, who'd been playing football. He had previously been to A&E with chest pains after playing football. So they decided the cannabis was the problem? Seems to me more like trying to wriggle out of responsibility for failing to diagnose him the first time, before he had a heart attack!

ALL drugs have possible side effects, the heart drugs I'm taking potentially ALL have really scary side effects.

Anyway tbh if I was found cold in my tent at a rally, I reckon that would be a brilliant way to go!

I have to agree, I am looking at exit strategies myself, I don't fancy being locked in a hospital or old peoples home with a bag hanging out of me for everyone to see and some young poof saying something like "And how are we today Mr Hopkins, time for our bed bath.."

Most of the health problems seem to revolve around the Smoking of Cannabis, what about eating it in low cholesterol cookies....

There are several problems there, even low cholesterol cookies have lots of carbs in, and I'm not able to exercise a lot so I'm always fighting weight increase (which is bad for arthritis AND cholesterol!) - and apparently it's difficult to tell how much you're getting in cookies or cake.

Having made a great effort to give up smoking tobacco, I don't want to smoke cannabis - I'm looking into vaping now.

Good idea. Vaporizers are cheap and readily available on Ebay, I know I bought 2 as gifts. They are much cleaner smoke and need no tobacco. There is actually no smoke as such as the THC and cannabinoids are driven off before the weed is burnt so it is, as it says vapour and not smoke. Healthier all round.

Yes I already have a vape, not a very good one though - I shall consult a friend who's an expert!

I'm intrigued as to how one turns cannabis into a vape liquid?

If you want to make cannabis oil (not recommended as it is class 'A' ) you use a bumblebee, available on all good Ebays. You put your weed inside and pass butane through to leach the oil out of the buds/leaves. You can also just put the weed onto the burner plate and the oil is vapourized and then inhaled, much less dangerous if you get an early morning wake up from a battering ram......
