Some of the guests are just reading the biker chat looking for the answer to a problem, if they find it they dont need to register, others are looking in the classified area for something to ride, they don't register if they don't find it..Then we get lots of Americans who want a copy of my book..

John.

Spambots automatically register with random letters/number user names once registered the registrations are sold to advertising. Posts are placed with selected links to websites. Webcrawlers follow the links, and hits are recorded. Creating a value to the adverts.

Some webcrawlers go through the registering system to collate any available information User names email addresses live links etc, but never complete the registration system, Particularly if email reply's are needed, ie click the link in the email to activate etc etc ...

The spambots may lie dormant for ages.

The biggest pain in the arses are those that register, never post but have spam in their signature/profile. If you spot one of these (Pat, John, CX), please let me know and I will tell you how to deal with them.

But if Tosser wants to be called Tosser, why shouldn't we change it for him so everyone knows he's a Tosser?

I'm only trying to do the right thing here...
