Default Excel show

Went on Saturady. Thought it was worse than last year (which is saying something).

Custom show was ok, but a lot of stuff from last year's Ally Pally show. Zodiac stand seemed good though.

Victory just had older models (and a Judge). No Highball or HArdball. For some reason they had a Mustang Pace-Car there too. Nice (I like muscle cars) but not what I came to a bike show for.
Robinson's Foundry (Canterbury Vic Dealers) brought a Highball, but it was roped off. As was most stuff on the Harley stand. A couple of standard models to throw a leg over, but anything that had been so mauch as P&A'd was roped off - even the 48 and FatboySlim from last year (when you could sit on them).

Guzzi brought 1 Cali (the new tourer) and a couple of V7s if you looked for them. Honda only brought 1 CB11, and Kwak only had 1 cruiser (couldn't see which) but no W900 or basically anything that wasn't a sportsbike or the new Z800. Couldn't see anything much of interest on the Yam or BMW stands either (new GS is a big deal for them though I guess).

Triumph stand was better though.

Ho hum....role on Ally Pally.

I don't own a camera and I have an ancient mobile. Gimme some time with my kid's crayons and a scanner and I'll see if I can whip something up.

Just wondered if anyone else had been, wanted to share thoughts

i must disagree, i thought it was better than last yr, normally we go and will take about an hur to go round, we were ther for about 3 hrs this time, seemed more there than usual but that may be the way was set out with revolution show in the middle, i must admit i dont care for the show bit anyway, seemed more traders there and yes the custom bit was a bonus but could have been laid out better was a bit scattered.

What sort of deal could there have been done on Helmets and boots? Any cheaper than Ebay? Was looking for a Shoei Neotec or Schuberth C3.

I was a tad disappointed, perhaps I was expecting too much from the custom zone but I had hoped for more than just Zodiac trying to sell hyper-expensive parts. I went with a shopping list of 5 items and all I brought back was the whiff of pizza round my beard and tache.

By God that little Honda 250/6 sounded fscking sweet when it fired up though, probably worth the ticket price just to hear the guy talk about how it came into being.
