Default This is annoying

I am in the process of changing the clutch plates on my 1992 Honda VT1100..and I am stuck at the locknut part number 90231mm8000 because it requires a special tool to remove it which is part number 07916-4220000 which I can buy for just under 50...but that is not the annoying bit..The locknut has been superseded by part number 90231ms2610 which requires a different tool to put the new one back on..

John.

get a dremel and *Carefully* cut the old nut off , then only if you have to buy one tool for the new nut

Personally for me i've never used any special tools , clutch nuts usually involves jamming a 2p piece in the Basket gears to stop the thing roatating
