It's exagerated..the chip is available but it doesn't have GPS and can only retrieve stored information from a special machine in very close proximity..the same as a pet passport..It could be used to store health information but not be updated for bank details, otherwise there would be no point in using them for pet pasports. it has no intermal battery and is powered by the reader. It has been inserted in a human and there is no technical reason why it couldn't be used as a passport, there was talk of testing them on the homeless in America and for medical uses in case of coma or unconsious patients, and maybe in the future..during the next world war..

so a documentry,this firm in the us had there employees chiped,voluntary,so thay could access restricted areas without cards or passes.
