Default 3rd fucking funeral this year :(

Lost a friend and club member early summer. Lost my mum in October. Today I went to the funeral of an ex-neighbour from my teenage years, one of the craziest and funniest guys I've ever known.
I'm fucking glad this year is nearly over, I just hope all my friends and family take extra care for the next 24 days, cos the black tie IS NOT coming out again this year.

RIP Pete
RIP Mum
RIP Ken

Sorry to hear that, Sudbury used to be such a happy place when I worked at CAV all those years ago..seem to remember working for a TV shop in north street too.

John.

That would have been Radio Rentals John. It was a happy place 30 years ago, it's a chav-ridden shithole now

Oh, and I started work at CAV in '77, it's changed hands more times than a little now but I'm still there

Sorry to hear of your loss, Mate.

I lost my Dad in August which has now turned the family against each other over his will. My dad remarried when I was 8 and the "family" lived in "harmony" for 42 years. My dad left his will into trust" now the step family are trying to cancel the will and get the estate transferred to my step mother. I was appointed joint executor with my step brother. We don't communicate wth each other except through emails and letters. And he had the cheek to send us a christmas card!

On a lighter note, I used to know a Jenny that worked in the buying office in Lucas CAV way back in 1979, when I worked for a company called Monks and Crane when they had a branch in Romford. This Jenny used to drive a Lotus Europa if I remember rightly!

That would be Jenny Olley I reckon, cute little thing that most of us apprentices had a hard-on for. Last time I saw her she was working in an estate agents.
