Me. It will be my first ride after two major operations so I'll have to take it slow and steady.

I will be picking up the M4 at Newport then riding to the M5 to Exeter, ariving about 10am if the bike doesn't let me down..I've got to refit the kickstand that needed rebiasing (hitting with a bib hammer to close the prongs a bit) and painting with hammerite...and then try to tension the rear brake return spring without cutting my hand off...and then hope for the best, I've tested, repaired, and retested everything I can, replaced anything dodgy with new parts, but I have to admit I am not in love with this little bike..

John.

Yeah M4 Reading Services apparently I am pace setting on a GS125.

By the way got this yesterday

The Road Safety Authority in Ireland has confirmed that it intends to
make hi-viz clothing compulsory for all motorcyclists from 2014.

MAG(UK) requested confirmation earlier today after the Irish Road Safety
Authority told a reporter that the RSA wanted voluntary wearing of high
visibility jackets rather than compulsion.

Asked when the RSA had changed it's mind about mandatory wearing of high
visibility upper body clothing with full sleeves for ride and pillion
passenger, the Communications Manager at the RSA emailed MAG(UK) saying;

"I can confirm that the RSA has not dropped the position outlined in the
Motorcycle Action plan. We do intend to seek to introduce the measure in
2014, subject to consultation with motorcyclists and industry on the
most appropriate type of hi-viz material and possible solutions."

Too many riders have been unwilling to believe they will be forced to
wear day-glo clothing in the near future. Until now the RSA has
soft-pedalled its determination to legislate, but now there is no doubt
that the authorities are serious.

Leaving from Tore Service Station just north of Inverness. 20 minute run south to the end of the dual carriageway, then on to Aviemore.

Me, Walkers cafe. I'm a bit concerned that we now have to set off at 12 to join the mob at Fourwentways. The blurb now says we'll meet up with them at the Comfort Cafe and leave at 1pm to ride down the A11 to the M11 - thats about 3 miles by my reckoning. This is in danger of becoming a fucking disaster IMHO. First we were leaving at 12, then we're setting off at 1, now its back to 12, there's 2 other runs planned between Bury and Ipswich, it's all going to water down the effect of a big fuck off crowd of bikes.

know that feeling, theres 4 meeting places in easy riding distance of me!!

I have also argued that its likely to get watered down, but hey what do I know, Im just going to turn up and take part, if it dont make a difference, then hell, at least I took part and tried

I will be at the 8 ball diner on the A12 , there are several points north and south within a short distance but i dont think it will water down the effect, if anything it will make it slightly more effective, i am guessing

As far as I'm aware the whole idea was to have EVERYBODY take to the road at 1pm.

"Shall I prepare the guest room for Mr Cockup?"
