It's got 4 wheels and has to be driven on a car licence. (Generally, that is) I know about the bike licence bit but don't know many bikers who would consider one, apart from farmers.

There is no such thing as a 'Quad Bike' , that's a term used by wannabees and the ignorant. even for people with disabilities, there is no reason for them to get one over a trike.

I'm ferkin surprised you have even considered it.

yeh, why not?
it should have more customs, of any genre... in fact, it's the ideal platform for 'rat-rod' style stuff, of any wheel combination....

bikers can usually appreciate the work involved in a project, no matter how many wheels it has.... narrow minded ones excepted, of course.

A quad bike would have to have eight wheels, surely.

i think that the fact that opinion is so divided is enough reason to run it, if folk hate it they will write and say, if folk love it they will write and say. nothing wrong with a bit of heated debate is there. and engineering skill is engineering skill, regardless of the wheel count!

No.
Definately not.
The mag only has a certain number of pages, you'll have to take out a trike feature to run this.
They're little cars without bodywork.
Why on earth would you even be considering it
(and I really hope it doesn't end up in 100%Biker either!!!)

Im not too sure, it has handlebars, Im guessing a barking mad engine if its being considered for a feature then it must be a bit different

you have trikes in the biker magazine, so why not??

Er actually...... I quite like these...

I would much rather commute on one of these than in a car.

Ring Haydn at the Trike Shop - he had a trike-quad MSVA'd not long ago, he told me on Saturday.

Steve Taylor's doing one at the moment too.

Yep true.. But the first thing I would do is try to source more power for it.

That being said, I would still rather max out at 68 on one of them than do 68 in a car.

Under law, the maximum power any eu approved Quad is allowed to produce is 15kw. Think 250 superdream. You source anymore power than that and it's an illegal vehicle unless you can find a way of getting it approved

Last edited by happybiker; 15-09-2011 at 10:11 PM. Reason: power limit lower than I thought
