Default :) today I made a battery box and lid :)

sorry hardly monumental, and hardly top notch engineering, but just so genuinely excited I had to share it with someone, first time in over 5 weeks I have been able to get out to the garage and touch a tool.

a friend of my wife offered to look after my daughter for an hour and took her out, I didnt know what to do first LOL

time of my own, so I went and made some noise and sparks

Don't worry fella , as the kids get older you can train them to bring tea and biccys out to your shed , garage . Best of both worlds.

chers guys, up until 5-6 weeks ago all was ok, my lil girl (aged 6, nearly 7) would be fine on her own, playing in the garden or up in the garage with me etc. but due to personal issues she now cant be left alone, its very straining on myself and the wife

hence my shock and elation at her actually leaving the house with the wifes friend and leaving me to be on my own for an hour

so flipping strange, I work locked away on my own 45-50 hours a week, all week just wishing I had someone to chat to etc, then the evenings and weekends my lil girl just clings to me and I end up wishing for jus a lil bit of time alone.

actually got the box all finished and the lid securing sorted, hoping the wife might be home from work early today and I can get a coat of paint on it.

dont think the trike will be finished for a few years tho at this rate LOL

which bit of 'FINAL WORD' passed ye by beano?

there's be no sarnies for scabs after that....mens 'final words' tend (On average-say) to be different from wimmins final words: 'oh & I fucked yer best friend....'

I reckon that'd set a hammer to a car.....

Nothing my dear. But, If you are feeling sensative and pussy whipped perhaps you whiny chaps should have a little circle jerk somewhere else.....

How are you doing Devon-Tony ? Not seen you on the other site for a while. Glad you got a bit of 'you time'. Its really important to get the balance right. x

now that me me me Beano has stopped making this about her.

Keep at it Tony, I know it frustrates ya, but, for the kind of build y're doing, time is just time, there ain't no deadline & we'll be there for ya if its done & when its done.

cheers
Mick

From the pictures it looks like you have nearly got to the end of the build Tony.
It took me ( oooppps ) two and half years to complete my trike, and that was working on it constantly. So dont be disheartened.

Cheers guys. My problem is that im so damn picky. Know i could have built this in a few months if i had the time and money. Instead of the 18 or more months.
Anyways appear to have been on a roll. Not only is the box painted and laquered but it stayed on the box and didnt end up on the floor like my paint normally does.
Tank is now also filled painted and lacquered. Looks great just hope it stays that way.

hmm yeah well the batteryu box is a bit of a sore point, no idea what happened, laquer didnt seem to go off fully, 48 hours after it was done, lay it gently in a box with some cloth to carry it home, 2 hours later, cloth was fookin stuck to it

will wet flat it, polish it and put some stickers on it LOL

but yeah the tanks ok, few imperfections, but I aint a pro.
