Ok... it needs some work, the back end has been cut off to make it ...... shorter?? the rear exhaust pipe is missing, the forks are completely pitted and it has a Rickman type 6 fairing (That has to go!!!)...
But it runs ok.

Anyone got a super dream front end and rear wheel?

Thank you mate, worst looks like front forks, silencer and a seat, but I'll know more later today. Not sure how I'm going to sort out the rear end or even if its worth doing, bobbing it might work. Hopefully one of my neighbours will weld the back end, back on for me.

Most is a doddle, its just the welding, hopefully I'll find the bits, mainly the seats and forks, a reverse cone mega should work on the pipe

shame about the frame, the 400/4 is quite collectable these days. if i were you i would get the wd40 and spray the bolt on the oil filter casing and also the camchain tensioner bolt on the front of the block, every day whilst you decide what to do with it, in the day, they were always prone to seizing up cos they copped all the spray from the front wheel. i wouldnt worry abnout the forks, almost anything else you fit on the front will allow you to have better brakes!!!

Engine now runs ok (considering it has sat for two years, might be a lot longer) but have found more cuts in the frame that mean it is not really roadworthy.

BUGGER!

Would help if I had 99, this was bought for me by Ruths son as a present, he didnt realise that the frame had been cut about.

Ho hum. Maybe I can get someone to turn the frame into a lowrider for me or something.

Cheers for that, very useful, but does not have the 400/4, I suspect it was complied in the US.

Spot on, then he lost interest, oh I seem to have acquired an FZ not sure if 400 or 750, its in a garden 4 doors down under a cover, needs fork seals and a 'camchain tensioner thingy' according to the owner...going to have a look later

Pyro

I have three or four sets of forks, all different shapes and sizes. I also have several pairs of wheels and numerous brake calipers. Handlebars, lights, cables, hoses, indicators, mirrors, handlebar grips, levers. Either find a seat or make a base and I can cover it for you.

I know for certain that I have a set of forks and wheels of a Honda 750/4 DOHC plus the brake calipers. The tyres are fucked but the wheels and forks are in good nick. Brake calipers might need a good clean. Might have a silencer knocking about as well.

Give me a bell and we can sort out what you need before I ebay the whole lot mate.

Good luck with it.

Chopper.
