Default Insurance almost halved? Fook me, shome mishtake surely?

Just had renewal letter through, telling me that NIG have pulled out of the bike insurance racket. Devitt's have offered me a policy with Aviva, and sent through the details. The policy has dropped from 180-odd last year to 90.90 plus a 17 renewal fee. Surely the extra year's NCB doesn't account such a drop? Can only surmise that NIG have been pulling my pisser for the last 2 years.

Aviva (Norwich union) is suspect!

Read the small print, I stopped going with them when policies change... For the same price I get roadside and other things... Plus Aviva has certain clauses which means its very easy to be suddenly "not covered"...

I've just renewed mine with e-bike online. Multi bike policy, 7/11 GSXR Streetfighter, and GSX1100 chop, 80 for the two. I had to go over it a few times coz I thought it was a joke. Carole nash wanted 180.

Just got a quote at e-bike - 145 for both and the excess was double the Aviva one.
Ah well.

I recently asked Adrian Flux to quote me for fully comp on my Ultima El Bruto chop.

I gave all the details and the guy goes away for a few minutes comes back, cocky as fuck, "This will beat anything you have already been quoted", Me, "Ok go on then, how much"?. Insurance guy, "Right we have included roadside assistance, european cover, blah blah blah blah....." Me: "Look mate, I'm bored now, HOW MUCH"? Insurance guy "This is really good for such com...."

Me: "HOW MUCH"?

Insurance guy "Only 1387.... when would like your cover to start"?

Me: "When you can knit fog and weld snowballs on gate posts" Click.

What a bunch of fucking tossers. I can't remember who it is that does one off special bike cover, have to have a scout round. God I fucking hate insurance companies. Especially those that try to sell me life or accident insurance and get all excited. You can almost hear them getting orgasmic until they come to those dreaded questions.

Have you ever had an injury requiring hospital admision?
Have you ever had surgery?
Have you ever suffered a spinal injury?
Have you everhad , or do you currently suffer from Diabetes, heart desease, etc etc etc
PLease give details.

Not found an insurance company that will insure me for life or accident cover.
Now begining to wonder if anyone will insure my chop.

Chopper.
Do you smoke?

I only insure because it is illegal not to so I look for the cheapest insurance.. at the moment that is Bennetts, 66.42 for two motorbikes..a Honda Shadow VT700 and a full power 1200 cc Vmax..

John.

Be real careful with E-Bike insurance they are a shower of weasels who will only deal with you by email trying to get somebody on the phone to answer questions is a night mare my policy is due to run out and i would pay a wee bitty extra to get a better service.

I've had nothing but good from them, as I tend to prefer email communication (as you can get hard copies of what they have said) when I made a claim it was mostly by phone backed up by email...

And a UK call center... better than trying to explain to an indian call center!

I think they put you through to the claims department where the staff can't speak or write English.

when i insured a cbr400 with a 600 engine fitted, bikesure from adrian flux were the only company who did a reasonable deal. every one else seemed to want a lot more than it would cost to insure a standard 600.
