Default Looking after new table.

We've just bought a new table made of solid oak. The salesman told us we have to treat it. Do you think a trip to Macdonalds would be ok?

Oak tables are great for dismantling engines on. Just make sure ye spread the engine oil about dont let it pool. The darker the oil the darker the patina you can get.

and if you remove the sump and drill two holes through the table you can bolt it firmly upright while you work on it.

well four holes for a big engine..

John.

Don't think she'll go for engine oil AND holes in the table. We've got a fawn coloured carpet. I'll put it to her just before we go to bed tonight. Didn't feel like sex anyway.

Well that's it then..you know she's going to go absolutely ape shit when you track your oily footprints in from the garage..you might as well bring the engine in with you and get it all over at once..

It's only fair..

She has her new carpet and table..

and you have somewhere nice and warm to work..

John.

I was thinking of laying the carpet in the garage when we replace it, so I'd like to keep it tidy.
On another note, I have a 30yr old 12 sting guitar with a hole in it where the handlebar of my Triumph 6T went through. It fell off the coffee table when I was taking the back wheel off. Demolished a fish tank as well. That was with the first wife.
