Default Little bit of help n advice please.

Well i have just booked my theory test for mid march and will be looking to book some lessons and final test very soon after, just wondering if you guys n gals have some helpful tips, advice and some links to useful websites? I really want to pass this, so the more info the better. Been riding on L's for a year now and will be keeping my 125 once ive past my test, not doing the DAS, just cheaper to go for the restricted licence which im sure you know limits me to 33bhp, but as long as im on a bike il be happy for now, the restriction only lasts for 2 years anywho...

Thanks chaps

Don't take it for granted that you will pass the theory first go..the hazard perception test has to be taken at the same time, fail either one and you have to take them both again..and again.

John.

You should be able to practice the hazard perception on the DSA website. It's a bit tricky till you know what they're looking for.

Shifty is quite right, you can practice the theory test online, Wraith.

A lot of the questions have common sense answers and will give you an idea of what to expect when you take the test for real. Give the practice runs a try and take your time when considering your answer. It's not a speed test, it's stuff that you should be able to do whilst out and about.

Good luck, Wraith.

When taking my theory I bought the DSA cd roms for theory. Cost about 30 but worth every penny. There may be some second hand on ebay. I would offer to send you mine if i could can them but they may be out of date. They were absolutely invaluble and you can almost learn it parrot fashion. As Grav has said, when you take your test - dont rush - if you get stuck on a question go back to it later. Good luck.

You should be fine, a years experience makes a difference... restricted is also a good way... Its the way I did it and I still have my dragstar after 5 years.

practice on the theory and hazard test 1 hour every night for the week leading up to it!

Seems bikers do better on the theory test than car drivers now why does that not come as a surprise. Also where you take your practical test seems a bit hit and miss check out the different pass rates on a centre by centre basis.

National pass rate 2007-08 published by DSA
Theory test
Car 65% , Motorcycle 78%
