When you look at those older bikes ye wonder about the guys who design bikes now ..sleek lines, plastic fairings all looking the same mogadon for the masses....I love the older bikes just so much more individual. Great pictures as well.

Thank you
I love these laid back events where you get to meet intresting people who have been biking 60+.
The guy who owns the Vincent combo uses the bike.....its not just an ornament that gets wheeled to shows.
There were a couple of bikes that were transited in and were not even started.....funnily enough they were both Italian, so it may not just be about their value !
The chap who was judging is an amazing guy who I met when I was refurbishing my first trike. He works on restoring british vehicles with blank cheques from their owners!
I like this picture with all the bends and pipes leading to a working heart !

The guy with the combo, was he a chubby old guy? there's a local old guy with a vincent combo who took me out in it back in 1994 and scared me off sidecars for life cos he rode it like a fruitcake!! He usually gets up to Knebworth.

I like the clean clear cut lines of the Matchless myself, It looks like a G11, nearly broke my instep kicking one of those over with the timing slightly out.

We are spoilt rotton these days with electric starters, means even a washed up old fart like me can ride a decent size bike.

If the owner of the red 'n' silver Indian's fed up with it, I'd be happy to help him out...

Aye, they were all lovely back then but I had 2 Triumphs and I spent more time fixing them than riding them.
Now I got Suzukis that start on the button all the time...
