I am getting an 08 1300 Midnight Star triked, any views about the bike would be welcome.

I believe the engine is a good reliable lump that will pull the weight of a trike with no problems at all, Kingo. I haven't ridden one myself, but friends who have all rate the bike highly.

It's gonna be triked, so Kingo will lose the indicators anyway.

Kingo, whilst I appreciate the fact that Axe Customs know what they're doing, how much input have you given to this project? That's the sort of bike that would indeed be a great trike, but can be let down by the wrong choice of wheels for the back end or mudguards that look out of place. That's just the big stuff, but the devil is in the detail so have you got a clear picture in your mind of how you would like it to look?

Curious of Wigan.

Splendid. No matter what we may think about how it should look, it is you that will be it's proud owner so you might as well get it right.

Will agree wirh Grav on that. Sometimes the customer gets left-out when the companys "know what they are doing" as they just want to use existing jigs, parts and tooling that makes a good trike but the most profit. Im not suggesting for a minute that this is how Axe Customs will work at all but it's your trike - have it done your way. if you're not sure exactly how try a few out built by as many different companies as possible. I guarantee they will all feel different in some way. I also have seen that that many regularly used trikes get re-done when people have rushed into it. Its worth travelling about for the best choice, as its not a cheap process and you want to invest your cash wisely.

Good luck

Wolfie

Would also highly recommend Hanks trike design. Have worked for them a few times and painted trikes independantly for customers who have had trikes built by them. Nothing but good reports. The quality is without question and their work is warranted. Their no is 02920 880885 to save you time.

Had a good weekend with Das at Axecustoms, and sorted out what I wanted the trike to look like, so in 6 weeks time I will have my new trike done.

Did you at least ride it for a few miles as it is?
