Well i hope it dont fall off mine so quick , although i have a Suzuki cruiser as well , and that aint so clever on the chrome parts , spokes rusted etc , i think most of the Harley aftermarket chrome stuff is made in taiwan and i seem to have no problem with that stuff , seems ok on my bike , not that their is much on it , prefer the black approach , engine etc , prefer riding than cleaning

Was it chromed by HD ?

Looks like it was just chrome on steel which wouldn't stick very well at all.

Some of the chrome is not too bad although it does seem to peel off some of their alloy parts ie. wheels and handlebar risers. The Worst thing that is shit on them is the nickle or cadnium plating on nuts and bolts and spoke nipples, Mine was crap after six months from new.

I doubt that was chromed as standard. Can't think of a Harley model that comes with a chrome tank.

Me neither, either aftermarket or someone got it done.

Harley chrome is still a bit rubbish though.

Harley chrome is not the best, wheel rims are the worst offender. The finish on the alloy parts ie yokes, fork legs as well.
Im with Shifty on that tank.

That's one of the reasons I went for the Superglide Sport; a lot of the stuff that's usually chromed is black wrinkle finish.

Nice bike though mate

I like the NightRod, but they're a hell of a lot of money for a stock bike.

I've just bought a shed load of bits for a VFR 800 from a main dealer. All genuine Honda parts. All the packets are marked ' Made in China'

Your thinking of Harleys and thats Korea.

Triumph parts in particular Brake callipers etc from japan, Most of custom Chrome too come from Korea. Harley have only just cottoned on to buying decent brakes as thc chinks dont make em, so their now utilising Nissin callipers from Japan on the XR1200's along with Japanese suspension units.

Nope, definitely tTriumph in Thailand - I think they make Rocket 3s there - whether the Thai Triumphs make it to the UK isn't clear, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't

Here you go -they do make triumphs in Thailand, but the engines are made in the UK, and the Thai bikes are only sold in the Pacific rim.

As I was saying to my Thai bride the other day, I've always enjoyed exploring the Pacific rim
