Default Insurance problems

A pal of mine has built a bit of a hybrid bobber...he.s put a HD evo drivetrain into a BSA B31 chassis...he is struggling to get insurance cover ..he.s tried footman james... they aint interested..anybody got any addresses or phone no.s i can pass on for him to try ?

Be very careful though - I insured the Future Bike recently and told the bloke on the other end of the 'phone that pretty much every single component had been changed/uprated, sent off me photos and modified vehicle report and, this morning, received a letter saying that I hadn't declared all mods and they were taking another 22 off me.

Won't be re-insuring with them.

Just got a quote from aquote.co.uk for 84 fullcomp with Norwich union... not sure about that one

Did get Aunty Carol to drop thier quote by half, still not enough!

I insured my v-max thru Aquote after using one of the comparison web sites. 56 TPFT. I even had 40 cash back after 3 months.

Try Bike Sure 0800 0892000 or 0844 8888908 www.bikesure.co.uk a mate of mine just insured his custom trike with em 300 or so I think! I think you gotta send photo's etc though! good luck anyway!

I'm probably going with either ebike or bikesure, used both before but have never claimed so I'm not sure of thier record on that one. Anyone got any experince?

All resolved - was apparently a computer error (). Good of them to sort it out so quickly.
