It seems tho you got MCC's small patch on arm, the British way then the clubs who want to be seen as better than them the sidepatch, thenthe really take us seriously lot the sidepatch with side rockers mcc/Brotherhoods then the Serious clubs MC's who dont want to be anything other than higher up the food-chain, Unless of course they are at the Top.

Sorry to ask a serious question for a second. I have obviously seen the NCC about a lot at various events over the years. Is their status somewhat unique in being backpatch without being MC?

And from the point of view of MC members (referring to Taff's post about all other clubs being basically MCCs) are they regarded as in the same bracket, with the proviso that there's probably more of their members you'd wish to share a drink with than the average MCC?

personaly speaking i`ll share a drink with anyone without predjudice, everyone i meet, be it work or play are treated with respect & politeness, i`ve had good times with many types of clubs in my life & hope to have many more. i dont belive any of the mcc, BH,RC,BC,NCC have the right to crack on like they`re better or more righteous than anyone else, but when you realise how much commitment, sheer hard work, and biting of the lip it takes to earn a patch in certain clubs you would probably see my point. regards nb1

Sorry whilst I agree and will have a drink with anyone until they prove unworthy of drinking with, rather than the other way round, I should have been clearer. Second question was aimed at full patch MC members.

I'd take issue with that on a personal level, i'll share a drink with any biker type, long as they're genuine about who they are, and they aint in fucking drag. Certainly don't wanna start hearing token phrases to ingratiate themselves with how they believe they're supposed to talk with members of MC clubs, like territory talk, who they know from our club and how well, snippets they've read on the internet about our problems and conquests. I can talk about the weather you know, and motor-cycles, i aint a 1% robot clone-droid with no other knowledge or interests.

Chopper club are what they are, they know exactly who they are, they've got a fantastic scene going, a good history, and they're rightly proud of it, without trying to deem themselves a 1% club. They're an international custom bike club, pure and simple, i got a lot of time for 'em.

I'm probably of a slight different view to some, most of the time with me, its just the person that matters and nothing to do with the patch.
If people dont want to talk to me or with me fine.

If I'm out socialising at a rally, I'll not bother with looking for patches, etc. If someone is sat next to an interesting bike (all the best ones are normally the ones outside a tent that actually get ridden lots with a few exceptions) then I'll stop for a chat if the owner looks like they give a toss bout stopping for a chat. If I see a bike pulled over looking like they've broke down, I'll stop to offer help / sympathy, and If I see someone out on a bike I'll nod / wave. Cann't always wave, cos the sidecar sometimes likes to shake it's bars around in corners or accelerating

Know what you mean. Don't quite take the same risks when you've got your whole family in the chair, at least I don't. Steering damper? I had a VW beetle one on mine, worked well enough.

Change your display settings - mine's only two pages... (maybe someone'll ask me why mine's different and expect me to justify it? )

Sadly, I'm about 300 miles south nowadays, but I'm back up there in August!

Probably do know you... someplace - you'll (by what I've read so far in your posts) probably know the club I belong to - which is up there
