Yeah, we're ok, oldest daughter grazed her neck on the seatbelt, other than that we're fine, cars just got a broken headlamp and the bonnets bent up a bit, but the wing and front valance looks fine. The other car only got a couple of gouges on the bumber, just got to wait and see if they claim or not i suppose. never had to claim, so buggered if i know what happens next.

Can be an easy process sometimes but then other times can be a right mess , we repair damaged cars everyday and some insurance claims just go straight through , others go around the houses abit first , who was at fault ? or was it the worst ever knock for knock story

Sounds like you went onto the back of him?

So he will claim minimum damage for his car but expect to be hit with a claim for a couple of thousand for whiplash any time soon.

His wife was driving, he wasn't there. We asked her several times if she was ok, she reckoned she was. Just have to wait and see I guess.

You usually swap insurance details, names, car numbers, and addresses at the scene, (If they didn't ask for your details and the police weren't there they may not be insured so will not claim against you.) If someone is hurt you have to notify the police, now you have to phone your insurance claim line and they will send you a form to fill in. If there is a possibility that it couldn't be avoided the insurance company settle for 'knock for knock' and you both lose your no claim bonus, and both cars get repaired by the opposite one's insurance....John

Well you can be sure if he claims against you then you and he will be called be the "not your fault " accident people trying to get in on the claim to earn a few bucks out of it . My mate got hit head on over xmas and still he aint been payed out but the driver in the wrong has a nice new car and all sorted with him .Dont seem too fair to me

Wot fettl U T .....SO GLAD YOU GOT IT SORTED BRO n that your kids are fine...I got smacked up the hint end in my motor last Feb - a lass who taught at the same school as me....it aggravated a previous injury to my lower back and I was off work for nigh on three weeks, it took six months for the claim to be sorted, the lassie never spoke to me from that point on and I left the school and teaching to seek other employment later in the year.

Nowt to do with her, I was just fed up with teaching!!!!

Glad it all worked out for you bro................FTW - forever two wheels or, if you wish, F**k The World......although Bush seems to be doing a pretty good of that all on his own..............

Peace. love and RESPECT to you n yours bro.....

EverReady

why, is that a peugeot 106 i see there? diesel, perhaps?

splendid vehicles. do a billion mpg, and hardly ever break. but as you have discovered, they have teeth....

mine got t-boned by a mad eyed lithuanian, who, to my eternal astonishment, had insurance.....

sadly i spent the money on a daewoo matiz for the missus, instead of another 106 or some lairy jap four....

Yep 106, but it's petrol, 1.1. In just over one year and 14000 miles, it's cost me 500 not including fuel and insurance I've spent more on bikes in 2 months!!!

Glad no damage to everyone.

Wish mine was as easy to mend! had to suddenly take up dry stone walling on saturday. Him on bike, me in car, he's beckoning madly, waving, at me, so I reverses quickly, , straight into next doors wall as was too busy looking in other mirror to make sure dint hit him. Rear wing, bumper and side panel on Beemer.

fren
he only wanted me to go in the house and get him a pair of sunnies, couldnt be arsed to stop the bike.
