Some b'stard has made it so to tension alternator belt I have to put car on ramps,take the under body covers off.

Then I can adjust the tension.

What a hole thought that was a good idea??

Ya bast!

You've just reminded me of the joys I can expect changing the water pump on my Primera. There's feck all clearance to get a spanner in with all the gubbins in that area.

Try an oil change on a Rover 75, there ain't no sump plug! You gotta suck the oil out the dipstick.

Its not that difficult when you get started, get a 1/4 drive extension with one of those angle thingys, it just got in there at an angle on mine.
