Default Bulldog 2007

Very hot, very busy, didn't get to see much else other than the custom show marquee yet again. I didn't know how or if we could surpass last year's incredible custom show...

... but we did! Absolutely fucking blinding, and I had a blast.

Now I'm going to bed for the first time in three days.

That's the one - the Lamb chop - that took best in show at Rock and Blues. Rather nicely done.

Bet it handles like a barge. He was a big lad that owned it, but even so I'd be surprised if he could pick it up off the floor.

Just a quick post to say a huge thanks to the HA for another great bash. Those fireworks were something else, the best ive ever seen. (apart from the Millenium shows).
Quo were just brilliant. Took me back to my yoof it did. Got rid of me dandruff too.........
And the heat and dust, especially in the main arena. Just like Faro.
The bogs were well sorted, only saw a few rough uns. And they helped the 'faro' effect............
And some wicked creations in the custom tent.
Top show.

Yeah, reminded me of that too but with hardly any revin' on the limiter of bikes through the night, thank fuck.

There really isn't much that I could add to that Griff, other than the good craic we had around our tents an' my thanks to the HA too for a bloody great party.

Just found this review on the Rockbeast website Bulldog Bash 2007 Friday ....

Birthday boy Stevie took the stage to bring things back down the roots with his trusty mandolin. His uplifting country blues suited the sunshine perfectly. His voice has the gravely undertones that are needed to pull off these songs, the legend of the man in black springs to mind. As Stevie wasn’t billed, I wondered if his appearance was a birthday present from his friends at the bash. A few people stood along the front but the majority stayed seated, suggesting this was good backing music to the festival. There’s something soulful behind this guys’ tough exterior and I feel this has rubbed off on some of the audience as Stevie celebrates his 30th…. again!

As I said from the stage .... "it don't get any better than this. Playin' the main stage at the Bulldog Bash on my birthday"

Thanks very much folks .... I don't think I'll top that

I actually went down to the bulldog wednesday night, cos had a wedding thurs morning, so needed a flophouse to lay our heads just for the night, dropped on a cheap late deal room for that night, £18 for the room, including full breakfast, usual price FROM £185. And i ain't joking;

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Didn't get to see anything other than the custom show marquee, and spent every waking hour with the custom show team. I'm so glad I did.
