Well, this morning I had a Harley Night Rod Special, plus use of Lyn's ZZR 600.

This evening, the ZZR is gone, which Lyn was sad to see go --- so to cheer her up I've bought a Speed Triple off Ebay...

Custom lowrider/chop.
I didn't build it but have hacked it around quite a bit.
Reg as a kawka 650 but the head stock if the only bit left off that.
Custom frame,FZR600 motor, front end of some crosser with a single disc which makes life interesting at times.
Slabs and upside downies.
Single seat, back wheel of a Porsche machined to take a sprocket.
No pics in its present look as still rebulding it.
Nearly finihed, such need a new petrol tap and i am done.

John you must live a very sheltered life if you think that your bike,s a Rat quote from Dragular..

....My definition of Rat..repaired when things go wrong, gets through MOT..second hand or pattern parts used to keep it on the road, filled with oil, brake pads good, tyres ok, lights work... no fresh paint unless to cover up rust...Thats a proper rat...the mat black, commando, type that you are thinking of is a custom bike...and costs a lot more to put on the road... John

I thought it was pretty inventive for me!

Grav it's just those front bits, the bolts aren't long enough to catch so i thought it was the safest option until i get some appropriate bolts....

It was whining Sunday but alright yesterday so not sure if it was the old petrol workng its way through. Running pretty damn well now Am well happy! Done 110 miles since we finished on Friday...

there is a mod you can do to the pipes n all ... I can only find it in German at moment > http://xjrcafe.kicks-ass.net/ombouw_uitlaat.htm

Pictures pretty much explain ... all inf needed can be found on XJR owners website or searching web for XJR Exhaust Modification

Four hundred quids worth of GPz550, bog stock with a rust all over the shop - best 400 quid I ever spent - apart from the 400 quid I spent on the Morini 350 which ive had since 86 and is in a pile of bit in the garage, and a splendid XS650 custom with drag bars which has never run properly since I bought it 10 years ago and which I love to bits...
