Default Just thought I'd say hello.

Hi folks.
Newbie here. I live near Aberystwyth on the west Wales coast. It's a groovy little town and well worth a run to in the summer.

I ride a recently rat-fightered bandit 12, it's my pride and joy, it's also my first custom bike and I love it! It used to be shiny and blue now it's short and matt black. My mate and I did the work on it and I miss my nights out in the garage now it's finished.

Im 32 I work in an outdoor supplies shop so if you need some decent light-weight gear give me a shout, allthough be quick as I am hoping to get back into science or something else soon as shopwork does not pay. My wife is a teacher and we own a staffy called Rufus who's fab. Erm... That's about it.

I hope to meet some of you soon as I am hoping to get to a rally or two this year.

Cheers
Rich

Default Who's the beast of Borth?

Me mum lives just outside Borth. I would like to meet up with some of the other riders in the area as me and the missus had to move to England for a two years and I lost touch with the Aber bike club lot. This is the first bike I have had for about four years.

Default Can't say as I know them...

They would have to come and introduce themsleves as such to me in the shop... Escape Outdoors on Eastgate Street. I met a chap from Aberarth the other day that seemed like a nice chap, he rides but I am ****e with names though so can't remember what he said he was called.

The description of the Beast of Borth to be honest fit's quite a few people in Aber. It's a University town and it has a relaxed and bohemian attmosphere so allsorts feel quite free to dress in odd ways. I know I used to.

Hello Thrud, and welcome.

Aberystwyth. Got an agricultural college where I got a qualifacation I don't get to use much now.

Used to go there on holiday when the sprogs were small, they couldn't pronounce Abersquithsquith properly.

Loverly ride to it on a nice day. Interesting ride in January '80.

Default West Coast Tatts and Brummies!

Gordon is a fine tattooist and a decent chap. He's done most of mine bar one. He is helping me come up with ideas for a sleave at the mo'.

As to Brummies, my family all hail from the Black Country and allthough I have lived in Aber for sixteen years and it is also the biggest town I have lived in. I still have a midlands twang.

Nowt wrong with brummies, even less wrong with folk rom Wolves and Willenhall.

Default This is a friendly place!

I used to post a lot on one of the Bandit owners club forum's and they are really bitchey.

I also post on the Rat Bike forum and I have noticed that custom bike places seem to be loads friendlier than more standard bike forum's.

Default Meindl ok for wide feet.

We specialise in boot fitting so if you are back in the area pop in and we can have a look.

3XL would have to be a special order for us but we could get it in.
Nice WH Smiths in Newtown, lovely old building.

Default Spose I am a bit of a yam yam.

Not much of one as the accent has faded and I am a complete country bumpkin. I get really nervous in big towns, anything bigger than Aber anyway.

A lot of my rellations are yam yam's though. Family connections to Wolves as one of my cousins used to play for them.
