Default '91 Virago 1100 carb removal

Once again I need your help people, just started to take off the carbs and the haynes manual says twist them out and remove them from the machine.......yet try as I might I can't get them out................the manual makes no mention of having to remove the engine to do it............any Ideas or tricks for getting them out or am I missing something that should be obvious..............................

try unbolting the rubbers from the head first makes it a darn sight easier!

I know there a right pain in the arse to get off i had trouble with mine But there even harder to get back on

Argh don't need this kind of info...........seriously tho. i'll bear that in mid when I come to putting the back on.........at least i'll know what to expect

Don't use more than a smear of WD to put the carbs back in the rubbers, the bellmouths are very short and prone to squeezing out again if you tighten the jubilees too much, better if you can get them back in without lube
