Angry Wtf? Bastards!

WHO the fuck delivers at 11:25pm, Friday night? So I'm tracking stuff I've bought in the 'states for me trike. (A whole new front end, if you must know) Tracker says into customs, 07/28/10 @ 11;56am. Out of customs, 1:02pm. Attempted delivery, (two days later) 07/30/10 at 11:25pm.

I'll say it again, WHO THE FUCK delivers at 11:25pm on a Friday night?

But here's the thing, there's NO CARD left in my door. So who picked up, and tried to deliver my crate? E-mails and a phone call to USPS in the 'states was a waste of time! How do I find out which fuckwit company is stopping me getting on with me trike?

(Pics of trike here...http://www.100-biker.co.uk/forums/sh...ad.php?t=41445 scroll down)

IT BOILS MY FUCKING PISS!

Perhaps you could get in contact with the company that sold you the front end........
The time could be a returned to warehouse time......depends on who has it.

I see this all the time, ( I ship internationally every day) if you get the option on the tracking website, then check the timezone, it can be either in local, ie yours, or the timezone of the country of supply

Angry Bastards!

Mystery solved. I went to the local Parcel Force depot and enquired there. The counter bloke laughed when I asked if they had tried to deliver at 11:25pm, Friday night. He said if the company tried to make them deliver at that time of night, they'd strike!
So I get home and there's a letter from Parcelforce. They've paid 36 to UK customs to release my stuff, and there's a further 6 admin fee. If I don't like it, complain to customs, not them. So I have to pay the fuckin' ransom money to get my stuff! No mention of the failed delivery tho....
I e-mail the bloke in the 'states and tell him the tale. He apologises, and says that he'd marked the paperwork "gift" so I wouldn't have to pay any duty. They obviously didn't go for it.......

Default Pay your import taxes

When buying goods from overseas. You should always factor in the original purchase cost an additional 33% to cover import taxes on goods valued over the 18/36 limits
As soon as I read the OP I figured there must be import taxes due

Stop having your piss boiled ! ! It makes me wince !
I think everyone that orders stuff from the states has had these things happen....I know I have.... several times.
Customs often let 'gift' parcels go but if they look 'commercial' will investigate. At least the guy tried, as many will refuse to do this and as you add up the price you can get a shock ....for example....an 18 licence plate surround can end up costing you 42 ! ! ! ( it is very nice though ! )
Just remember this if you want stuff from the US.
Maybe there are special tablets for anti-piss-boiling....
