do you know thay have stopped issuing mot certificates to save money.its now up to the garage to give you a piece of paper,that thay copy on there photo copier,that is your mot.it has not took con artists long to figer out,that thay can do there own on the pc with scanner,and print one of after changing the details.so you could end up buying something,you thought had 10 months mot,but only has one,the first you will know is when plod pull you.just another government department not fit for purpose

If you are buying something its easy now to check online if it has an MOT and what advisories were issued.

noticed when I got the car done .printed off there machine...and there is a box which shows the advisories,the vehicle has got .........which helps the enviroment........saves sellers from 'losing' the the advisory sheet with a million faults.Plus you can look up on various databases for the info

If I was a bit iffy about the mot on something I was about to buy, I'd insist on a new one, take it there myself and if there was shit loads wrong with it, back out of the deal, at most it would cost you 25-30.
