Default Choppermart.co.uk

Just a quicky to let you all know that www.choppermart.co.uk is now live as a forum..... it is intended to be a user based directory of goods and services to bikers.... but it needs LOTS of members to work. Take a look and post some businesses into the directory...
Go on.... do it!

Didn't think it would qualify as spam as choppermart has appeared in 100% biker!
Just letting it be known that it has changed into a forum!

If you go on it, and it's wánk, then by all means tell us, or you been skanked by the folk who run it, but to rip it to shreds just cos it's new? Fúcks the matter with ya?

I'm still looking at the site, but that doesnt mean I cant have a laugh. Bit of an over-reaction in my opinion.

well seems like half the posts that get put on here that are of an ounce of use get labeled as spam, before any1s even seen em, just thought id start the spam ball rolling, cause i wanna be the first in there with the spam thing, plus im in a wind up mode. Any way, its got people talking about it, so not all bad, is it ?

At the end of the day.... it's up to the members to build a decent directory for all to use.
If the site turns out to be ****e........... then it's your own fault!!!!!

So go and sign up and get the ball rolling!

Dont give up, you have the beginning of a good idea, most people take a while to get used to new stuff, mostly they wait and see if anyone else stick thier head up and then follow along, take your time, keep pushing and you may get somewhere. And I'll have a look every now and again....and still have a laugh and a joke.

Thanks for that.... I am not giving up on the site.....
I tried to build a directory myself as a normal website, this idea was impossible
to maintain by myself.... because there are so many usefull companies out there I would never have found them all.
So I thought that making it forum based would be far better.... then the members can post into the directory... which should prove usefull to everybody.
Cheers

I like the ebay search bit, just found something I missed so the site has already done me a favour, The thing to do is keep plugging away, I'm not really sure what your ultimate aim is though. Is it to be a forum? or a selling site? or a tad of both? Not really clear old chap.

eermmm.... probably a bit of both really, the directory should prove usefull, and you can also 'ave a bit of a chat on it as well!

Personally I would get the forum side going first, once you have enough people using it then you can concentrate on the directory side, bit of a catch 22 otherwise, you wont get many people use the directory until you have enough members, and its a struggle to get members at the start.

good point! I won't be messin' around with the site layout now though, as people have already posted into the directory.
I didn't want it to be "just another forum" if you know what I mean, there are plenty of forums out there already...
we'll see, hoping it will all work out!
