quite right!

90% of 'em seem to be i-bought-a-gsxr-but-fell-off-coz-i-cant-ride-it, (always check for chicken stripes), trashed-the-plastic,-blamed-the-bike,
spent-k's-needlessly-on-top-notch-suspension,-and-got-a-pikey-to-paint-it-for-me.
there is only so much you can do with a pair of renthals and a 916 seat unit.
streetfighter design has been (mostly) stagnant for a while now.
i remember the good old days when a 'fighter was a matt black drag style low rider, with a tuned motor, a belly pan and an RD125 handlebar fairing

a nice paintjob and a few shiny bits dont make a street fighter, the same should be said for all styles of bike.
As long as the mag covers bikes that have an interesting side to them, be it a one off frame or square wheels ( cant think of anything else ) then feature it. its as easy as that

I buy SF and 100% and BSH and super streetbike!!! Of course cover streetfighters, plenty of streetfighters are worthy of appearing in a mag, but won't make it into SF cos they ain't trick enough, yet fit in with the 100% Biker ideals, cos they are built on the cheap

Like a Honda bros 400 with fireblade rear shock, top yoke converstion and transalp 650 engine that out runs drug dealers

What you showed me was a cafe racer, a V max and what looks like.... a pile of sh1te. The red, white and blue one's ok, but it looks like most of the streetfighters I see.

what is streetfightering if not a modern day term for cafe racers, bikes which were built for speed on the road as they meet up at the tea cafes of the 60's , go to the ace most days and look whats there, the max is far from standard if you think it is you dont know your bikes ,and the pile of sh1te is a harley showing the faux pas of front and rear wheel differences, but hey if you say so.

You're never going to please everybody. Me personally, I'm not that interested in cruiser type bikes but thats just my personal likes/dislikes. If you have the mag just looking at certain styles of bikes only, then you cater for only a small part of your readership (and hence limit your market appeal). Keep it broad and wide to show the full spread of whats being done as this can give the most inspiration to those without a closed mind.

wouldn't call that a streetfighter...........
very nice custom bike, yes.
i think it was 'odgie who first used the term streetfighter, (or introduced it to the wider bike scene anyway), and it was all about attitude, both of the rider and the bike. UT's description of his bike sounds more like a 'fighter than anything posted here.
they're just tarts handbags, far too gawdy. 'fighters are for hoonin' around on, not polishing!!!
