The couple said they could not recall the number of times they experienced problems with the motorbike or how often it had been damaged.

Besides mishaps, they said they had been robbed a number of times. Far worse, though, was that they occasionally suffered from mild frostbite and dehydration.


As his wife only joined him for the USA bit of the trip...I wonder where they were robbed a number of times...

40 years ago they would have been safe anywhere on that journey......sorry what was I thinking ...no 40 years ago they wouldn't have been allowed in the USA because they came from Russia... John

Things like this sometimes make you feel a bit inadequate. Still, it could also give you something to dream about, or an ambition for later on.
