Default BBC News: Woman killed in stolen bike crash

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/s...re/5402198.stm

Quote:
An elderly woman was killed when she was hit by a stolen motorcycle as she crossed a road with her husband.

The couple, from Arbourthorne in Sheffield, were crossing City Road on Monday night when the 74-year-old woman was hit by the bike.

She died at the scene but her husband, who was uninjured, was said to be "traumatised and distressed".

Police said two men were thrown from the bike and one of them, aged 21, suffered life-threatening injuries.

The other man, aged 19, is being treated for serious arm injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or the motorcycle before the crash to come forward.
'Life-threatening injuries' and 'serious arm injuries'.
Anyone close enough to make sure their injuries are terminal.

Is South Yorks Police one of those that don't chase bike thieves in case the poor souls hurt themselves?
