The IBCC was a bit of a let down. The building is up and the builders in working on a Sunday! Just not at my house! The digital archive team were hidden away in a container somewhere, so were not available to say "hello". Well maybe they were, but they gave the impression that they didn't want to say hello!

The disabled access for chairs and scooters was limiting as they had to drive overr pebbled pathways. I hope this is only a temporary measure whilst building is going on. They woefully underestimated the number of visitors and the parking got a bit chaotic despite Stewards directing.

There was a hut with some artefacts, that was interesting if you knew what you were looking at, and some lovely war veterens stting there signing books and posters for everyone if required. But overall dissappointing. I'll wait until it's official opening I think.

Not such a bad idea, there is a premier Inn, opposite the IBCC.

This is FT we are talking about, the man who called out the national grid about a power failure after he changed a light bulb. I suspect if he changes a radiator wed best get Noah on speed dial and have the ark fired up and on standby

Out on a 10K walk and came across (Fnar! Fnar!) a sheep that had fallen in the river. Nobody was around, so I decided to rescue it (seeing as the other sheep were doing bugger all to help). It was belly deep in river mud and I had a hell of a job pulling it's front legs free but the rear were still stuck fast in gooey river mud. I grabbed the wool at the back end and rocked the the sheep until it came free and after about 10 mins it finally managed to scramble out and not a 'Bah' in thanks.......

My foot went in so deep I had a job getting out myself......

Well, the plumber's boy has been and gone. Swapped a rad, put in two new 'uns, serviced the old boiler ( wondered why the missus looked happy!) and clipped back the pipes to the annexe! Now I can get on and replace the floors in the bedrooms 2 & 3, and the bathroom, then plasterboard and decorate the third bedroom, and plasterboard the stairwell in readyness for the plasterer (when I find one!) and the new stairs when they are made! All before christmas, according to 'Er in doors!

Did you actually buy a house or did you use the Ewokandtuck Estate Agency? It seems you are building a complete house from scratch......

It looked alright from the outside! I wondered why the seller was a bit quick in agreeing to my silly offer!

So guess what Silly bollocks did yesterday then? Only went and put a screw through a central heating pipe when putting down the new chipboard flooring in the bathroom! Ralised what I'd done as soon as I did it, undid the screw and out shot the water so quickly replaced screw to plug up the hole, and mopped up some water, luckily I was quick enough not to let too much escape and not cause too much damage! So there I was calling the plumber back to repair what he had just put in for the new rads! They came wirhin the hour! It's amazing how quick they react when there is a whiff of cash floating in the air! Good job the missus was out all day or I would've been in for some serious ear bending!

Should have put some PTFE tape onto a brass screw and just swapped it..... Would be OK until the next owner came to take the shelf (or whatever you were screwing....Oooer! Matron) and got flooded instead......
