Default msva changing style of trike

hi have bought a trike which had msva in 2005 its in bad state and i want to strip it down and start again, how far can i go in changing it before the dvla would want to examine it . i ask this as i had my other trike msva last september and i had to give them photos so i don't know whether they had pics of this old trike do they keep pics on file or do you think i would be able to re-do this trike ta

legally if you change the chassis (Frame) in any way it needs MSVA. If not it don't.

As for DVLA they are so inconsistant its any ones guess.

Think the pics are just another way of recording what was MSVA tested.
When I had mine done VOSA took pics and so did the local DVLA office.
I have no idea if they were ever compared, but I doubt it.
As said before, as long as the frame is unaltered you should be ok, but it should really be rebuilt to MSVA standards and a new MOT naturally.
