Default Honda clutch nut removal

Help..

I've got a Honda shadow VT1100c 1991 that I am trying to replace the clutch plates on, I've got the locknut tool for removing the nut but even with a three foot tommy bar on the socket spanner I still can't undo it,

What am I missing?

John.

Are you turning it the right way? Is there a locking mechanism.? Try an air hammer?
