Hi all, my name is David,

Learnt to ride bikes last year (i was 36) and never ridden before. First bike was an er6n, got it in September then put it away (due to my job taking me away to that place in the desert). Got back in april and decided to get it out. 3 weeks later came off totalling it ( well cat c wright off) and braking my leg. Nice introduction to motorbikeing.

Once my leg is better my next bike is going to be a vn900

Welcome to the forum, so you have been taking a holiday on the beach..

Sorry to hear about your off, but I'm sure your bosses won't mind you taking a break..

We all fall off and you can fall off a VN as easily as a crutch rocket, just remember that the stopping distance on a motorbike is at least twice that of a car so you need to allow for it, and most cars can leave many bikes standing..

Have fun and remember If you can't make hay while the sun shines..at least when you get back to work you can make sandcastles..

Get me a bucket of sand and a tin hat and I will tell you about the Yemen..

John.
