Why would it be an offence to the war dead?

There are hundreds of memorials to people out there. You could even class a grave headstone as a memorial.

I have a 9 1/2 ton memorial to my wife with a cast bronze plate that will last 1000 years.

Bikers are not buried in mass graves, each one is in their own private resting place, so it would not seem likely that a memorial impressive enough to attract pilgrimages by bikers from all around Britain would ever happen..

However if you have the inclination, place, permission and money..go for it...I'll ride to it..If there's a cafe nearby..In the meantime the signpost at lands end pretty much does it for me, most of us have been there at one time or another.

John
