Default ooops!! binned it!!

bloody firestorms!! lol.

cold, damp road, not paying enough attention, bit fast into a corner, lost the front, slid into a low kerb.....

which bounced me back upright, across a farmyard entrance, over a 5ft wide, 5ft deep ditch, through a small tree and out across a field....

about 20 cars drove by, slowed down, looked, then drove off before someone stopped, and helped me drag the bike out of the field...

no broken bones, adreneline meant no pain, gave the bike a once over, snapped off R/H footpeg, but rideable.
rode the hour and a half home (carefully, lol).

could have been A LOT worse... if i'd've gone into that ditch at 50 instead of over it at 60, it doesn't bear thinking about........

starting to ache now, but i think i'll get a lottery ticket for tonight!

Note to self, tarmac good, field bad...

Very lucky there, it looks quite soggy which also helped.

We're having a "Who's had the Most Rural Off Competition" in Somerset at the moment. Rob gets 5 points for jumping the ditch, but Belle's still in the lead with 15 points for ramming a cow with my 600 on the A39.

the motor hasn't been run for many (5+) years, but it's a merc, from when they made them properly. there's a long way to go with it, it's a BIG project to complete..... there's a few bits i'd do differently. it has the potential to be a real head turner, but there's a LOT of work and money needed to finish it.
i (we) started that before the steam-punk 'revival' but now everyone and his dog is doing it....
i'd make myself an english wheel and give it a polished ally, art deco/airstream caravan type body....
i'd grab it off guy myself but i haven't got anywhere near the time needed to finish it. you'd need to be on it pretty much full time over the winter to get it done for next year. it'd be a guddun tho, if it ever gets done.
