Thumbs up 1000+ bikes on the M5

That was a laugh and a half!

The day started like shit, thick wet drizzle, people late, Harleys breaking down and Belle overtook me on her arse when she lost the front end of the Red One on wet chevrons.
Trooper that she is, she got back on after some running repairs and the day improved dramatically.
We were the last of about 50 to leave Bridgwater, picked up 600 more at Taunton Deane, down to J28 and back North bound with over 400 more from Exeter, and stopped for a break at J27.
Junction 27 services computer crashed and there was one 16 year on a till, lots of free coffee.

The weather got better and better so we and a few others found a nice little country pub, then came back up to Bridgwater, considerably quicker than when we went down
A big steak and a chilled out ride home.
We even found the 600's sidepanel that fell off yesterday!

Great Day

PS
Good to meet you John and thanks for the book.

no, but the F1 was good.

skint, bike's rear tyre is totally bald, fuel tank is empty, i got a part-worn for 5, but can't even afford the petrol to get to johns to get it changed, let alone for traipsing round the countryside....
sounds like it was fun tho, but i still don't think it'll have any effect.
just watched the 'points west' bbc news, lots of "granny's cat stuck up tree" type human interest stories, but not a squeak about thousands of bikers protesting.....

met at donnington park services, left at 1pm.
bout 250 bikes and virtually bought the m1 to a standstill

unfortunately the scooter rider community wasnt that well turned out in my honest opinion with there only being about a dozen or so present including myself, AND on top of that they decided to peel off at the markfield junction like a dozen spitfire pilots looking for cloud cover i carried on dwn to leicester forest services wi the bike lads to discover once arriving at said destination i woz the only scooter remaining,
not a bad turn out and a big hello to any off you that spoke to me if yur on ere, not a bad day and didnt get to wet

cheers hodge...(8"6 matt black lammy chop)

Thanks, a couple of bruises to her arse and her ego, but as soon as the sun came out and she found herself in the middle of hundreds of bikes, she was fine.

Whoever was driving the MAG van, she sincerely apologises for undertaking you on the hard shoulder
