Default New toy - very chuffed!

Ambition achieved! Wanted one since forever. It's a scruffy, non-running bag 'o at the mo', but it will live again.

It's currently at a mate's shop where he's going to see if he can get it running and see what the engine's like. If it's okay, it'll get sorted so that it can be MoT'd (fork seals, chain, grind back the enormous slab top yoke so that it clears the tank, do summat about the exhaust etc), matted and run around for the rest of the year as a replacement for the ZXR.

If it's not, back of the garage with a cover over it 'til the Winter and then it'll be getting silly.

Unless my weary eyes deceive me though, that's a GSX-R engine and not a Kat engine.

Completely agree Minxy. If you change the seat and nose fairing / headlight, its not really a Kat anymore, is it?

Seem to recall Big CC had a Kat they'd "slightly" breathed on, for drag strip shennigans (had divers weights on the front forks, to try to keep the front end down).
