Default Newbie Triker

Hi Guys

I've been watching this forum and thought it was about time I joined up - you all seem to be a friendly bunch!

I am a disabled triker - sadly at the moment, minus a trike....but I love anything to do with trikes

I am hoping that you guys can offer some help or advice?

Basically, I am looking for my first trike either to buy or to have built (I have little engineering/mechanical knowledge).

Due to my disability the trike has to meet the following;

a - I am looking for a chopper style trike with at least 2 seats
b - Trike has to be car engined with auto gearbox
c - Accelerator\brake has to be hand controlled - my legs are knackered so pedals are out of the question.

And lastly, just to confirm, according to my driving licence I do not have a motorcycle category therefore not entitled to ride motorbikes - Is a car deriven trike my only option?

Is there anybody that can help me or put me in touch with a firm - I am based in Yorkshire

Many thanks in advance

Stuntman

Hey Stuntman, even if your trike has a car engine, that doesn't make it a car-derived trike. If its front end is motorbike forks and bars, then its a bike-derived trike. If you have a full car licence, you have entitlement to drive it.
