Default The twelve days of...

Thirty years ago I worked in Saudi Arabia; there was a band doing the circuit of the clubs but by the time I got there they had been arrested and thrown in jail for taking the piss. I have a tape they made though.

Is this politically correct?
Far from it, but if you've ever been there, you'll understand the sentiment. All of the song was very, very true in the 1980's.

Merry Christmas one and all, and I give you the Twelve days of Ramadan

On the Twelfth day of Ramadan King Khaled sent to me
Twelve Toyotas crashing
Eleven trips to Mecca
Ten worthless princes
Nine veiled ladies
Eight piles of garbage
Seven broken lamp posts
Six locals squatting
Five prayer calls
Four open sewers
Three roast goats
Two Yemenis
And a vulture in a palm tree
Nema jebene bonbon

That was a bit daring..Never actually been to saudi, been to Idris, Aden, Morocco and the Yemen so I can understand some of the lyrics.

Beauty is skin deep; ugly goes right to the bone
