Default Avatar in 3D!

Who's been to see it then?

If you haven't, don't bother about the 2D version, see it in 3D - it's awesome.

went with the family on sat night nik, bloody great effects and a good film overall i thought. the 3D took a wee bit of getting used to but soon forgot i was wearing glasses.
a load of movies due out this year in 3D. maybe its an anti-piracy thing as you cant video the 3D movies properly.

Yer I'm looking forward to seeing the 3d version if I can. Both for the film and to see this tech in practise. This could be the birth of a new generation of viewing. Star Trek stuff. I love it

Saw it last night. Been a long time since a film had me so utterly engrossed, fists clenched, heart thumping type of thing. Pretty generic plot but man the sfx....................

The last 3D film I saw at the cinema was Quo Vardis in the early 50s.

Lots of Romans throwing spears and firing arrows at me.

Good film. My first big screen 3D experience. 9 was a bit steep to get in.

The motion blur on the frantic bits was a bit distracting.

I also found myself obsessing over trying to spot the nipples on the female aliens.....

I recon the 2D version would still be good.

I don't want to seem like I am taking this too seriously but I can't understand why the created an alien looking body for Sigourney Weaver so they would fit in with the natives but then she put on tee shirt and shorts.. spoil sports!

In the cinema its not the same. You don't get the red and green they use polarising filters instead nowadays. It works much better, no degridation in colour.

What do you mean 'back in the day'...that was 25 years after the film...
