saw them a while back on the normal websites for "bits" theres nothing to them really, will people really buy them? 2 of switches and a bit of scrap material

be interested to see just how much you sell them for, best of luck, your in business and obvously know the market better than me, but this was one of them things I just saw and thought " why would someone pay for that?"

quite correct a simple job to buy the switches from maplins.

now what about the housing?

it's contoured to fit 1" or 7/8" bars

it has radiused ends

now it needs chroming. unless you want brass that is.

we could make these ourselves

we have two lathes
2 millers
drill presses etc etc.

but even with all this tack we don't find it viable.

don't have those tools?
ok then a hacksaw and some files and quite a bit of time.....

i realise that there are people on here that make almost everything for thier machines.
but there are people who cannot, don't want to, or simply don't have the time.

this is a one off completed benelli 500 frame destined for the race track. it cost just under 1800.00
could anyone build this, probably yes. but thankfully that isn't the case

no I fully understand, I tend to look at things and think, hmmm why pay for it, simple enough to make it, but maybe thats because Im quite skilled and have access to machinery, or maybe its because Im as broke as a broke thing and cant afford to buy them LOL

I hadnt intended to put a negative feel to your products, but perhaps it might read that way, hope not

I know how much they are from another place so will be interesting to see what you charge for them.

and yes your right, for someone that cant make them, perhaps your proposed price will be very attractive to them. its a fairly clean and simple approach to a set of switchgear, especially with all the MSVA etc that are going to be needed to be done.

thing is with me Im too "tight" I struggle to see how some things are worth what they are priced at. I take a rather simple view of things.

Its simple really unless you make it yourself ......... Someone makes it someone sells it someone ships it to someone who sells it again, everyone needs to make a bit of profit to stay in business so price goes up from just manufacturing cost.

Aye,but there's a difference between "making a profit" and "kickin' the arse out of it".......
