Err self taught. Better take yer ball home.

Background in art tho. Something Ive always been good at. Art, graphic communication, techy, craft & design, etc school awards thru high school n then did design degree too. Could already draw anything so good headstart I guess.

Just making the conversion over to paint was a bit tricky, but reckon Im getting there now. Certainly busy here anyway. Customers are very happy so cant complain really. Doing what I enjoy n making a living from it.

Oh yeah the tiger paintwork I posted pics of a while back won best paint trophy at the big fighter bash the april fools run (AFR) last weekend. Well chuffed. Going in SF mag soon too. Over the moon really.

Sorry bout the ball.

Been working evenings and weekends last couple of weeks to try get ahead of comissions coming in. Been mad busy lately, tho Im not complaining. 8)

Caught up a bit now which means I can put a few hours here n there to the trike. This evening I gave it a final check over n sand. Got a couple of hours in airbrushing. Just basically laying on the first layer of many as Im working with with candies mostly to get the flame colouring Im after. Takes lot of layers n blending. Started laying on basic flame shapes so know where Im working from.

I scaled the flames to work on body shell sizing and my god they look spot on now on something larger size wise.

Chuffed with look of it, its just slow n awkward due to space limitations n work being busy. Bit awkward cos of the size of shell and Im keeping it seperate from work setup so as not to interfere. Lots of dust sheets stapled up here there n everywhere tho should stop water/dust, etc. Cramped for space in garage tho (trikes under blue tarpaulin, Harris n Ninja wrapped up tight too). Decided to work on 3 sides seperately (left, right, back) to ensure continuity as far as possible of flame colouring (candy paint remember), and to make it easier for me in VERY limited space! Do one side at a time n dust coat of clear to seal it while do rest.

Lookin good tho. Excited to see it bolting back together now. lol. Be a whiley yet, but got bit more time to do bits in evenings/weekends now.

Did a few hours this afternoon while waiting for comission paint to dry.

Still needs tribalwork added to front side sections (doodling it just now, lol) and metalflake dusting. Stuck a light coat of clear on tho anyway to protect it from any water/dirt, etc. Looking good tho. Very organic n loving the colours. These pics in a dark garage too. Should look great in sunlight.

Added tribalwork to front n metalflake dusting. Eres the pics. Bit hard to see rainbow flake effect as only one light coat of clear so bit of texture still. Some nice colours in sunlight tho! One side finished as such. Onto the other side. Time to turn round bodyshell. lol.

Got black n white initial flame shapes sprayed on other side this afternoon as per previous photos. Just laying on basic outlines of shapes, etc for first candy layer and to give me an idea of overall look. Hoping to get a good run at it this weekend n try get rest of airbrushing done. That`ll just leave me with clear coating which can fit between work stuff.

While turning the bodyshell round tho so could get at other side easier the done side was sitting in the sunlight so couldnt resist snapping couple of pics. SHows up colours a lot better than dark garage.

Been spraying my arse off this weekend tryna get airbrushing done n dusted while got free time. Eres the results. Same as other side basically. Candy colour match seems fine n overall theme n shape continuity ok.

Added a moon onto the back of front seat backrest. Seemed appropriate what with all the sky in background.

Kept the back end simple. Website address in chrome style celtic font. Lick of flames ere n there, but quite clean overall cos back carrier is about 2/3 covered once wooden luggage rack slats are added.

One quick coat of clear to protect it for now. I`ll build up the clear coat in next few days n can start polishing it up, etc. Hopefully start getting bits bolted back on.

Got couple of bits sanded/polished up n on tonight.

Muddy bolted on. Just need to solder up wires to lights n mount em, etc.

Screen back on bars with stainless support bar behind for better rigidity.

I`ll get other muddy polished up n mounted tomorrow night then can crack on with shell in stages. Gonna look sweet!

Weather cleared up for bout 1/2 hour in between hailstones n storms, etc here. Was still in middle of final polishing, etc but saw sunshine. Thought fook it get a quick run n see if everythings ok n such. Went few miles round island. Not too far in case owt went wrong, just enuf to check everythings as it should be as its all been in peices.

Brakes seemed poo at first but perked up enuf after few miles. Not moved in months tho. So yeah everything as it should be. Nowt went wrong or broke or fell off. lol.

Pretty cold n overcast, etc but was buzzing. lol. Took couple of pics but really dark looking as horrible n grey ere. I`ll get some better pics once weather clears up a bit n finish off polishing, etc. Looks good tho. Nice n low.

Thought this was a funny shot as cant see it from other side of car its that low!

Got all bits for hydraulic throttle conversion now too so thats next:-

Loads of polish options on the market mate. Farelca G3 is good. Depends what buffer your using and style of technique, pad material, speed, etc, etc. TBH I generally use standard t-cut and a small random orbital buffer. Takes a bitty longer as tcut not that abrasive but gives me a better shine I think n get a good deal on 5ltr drums of it at trade price. Plus I love the smell.
