Default harley sportster hub/spindle advice

Hi, just a quickie, built up a sportser front wheel and the wheel bearings are Taper needle rollers (Imperial LM11949's) I was going to change them for ball races but my supplier says that they arn't availble in the size I require. This now means I've to run the Taper's. The question (Now I've got round to it) is how does the Harley spindle provide a means to preload the bearings, is there a nut either side ot the wheel spacer? I'm after a haynes manual just for a look, but struggling. I've to have a new spindle machined to accomadate the wider yokes, so your advice please, cheers Ian
