There's no point spending money on it if i can avoid it, its about to get lots spent again cos its new shock and new chain time, and possibly new sprockets depending on how they've worn...

If worst comes t worst i'll suffer taking the car, but i would really rather not.

I really would not do this ! , Ive seen the result of overstretched chain, if your lucky it snaps flys off and leaves you stranded, if your unlucky in the processs of flying off it chops a hole in the crankcase and fubars the engine if your really unlucky in the processs of flying off it chops a hole in the crankcase and fubars the engine and takes a fair chunk of your leg or other fleshy part it comes in contact with, with it.

I'm not going to, like i said, either it will look like its going to do the distance or i take the car.... if i have to take the car I shall sulk... The chain isn't overstretched as it is, just reaching the end of its limit thingy, its not great, but it'll do - i wouldnt like to start playing with taking links out tho.

She's just out to make me spend loads of money on her cos i went to Faro without her

Agree but that is why I said take it very easy. Does depend on how wankered the chain is before you knock a link out and how much torque you send it. Have ridden (many years ago,in my foolish youth) around for a few months with one like it but DEFINITELY would not recommend doing that!!!!!

Police were jeered as they outlined road closure plans for a 1m operation for a biker festival in Warwickshire.
More than 100 residents attended a meeting on Thursday to discuss the force's tactics for next week's Bulldog Bash at Long Marston airfield.

Good, make them think twice when they know that they do not have the support of the locals.

It really does look like they're trying to make the budget for "policing" the area at the time of the Bulldog astronomical just so they can use it against future licensing.A bit of an underhand tactic, methinks. Next, they'll be using things from anti-terrorist laws against us

Looks like Warwickshire's council tax will be hiked up a bit then.

Unfortunately, though, they will use this to oppose next years licence. just hope everyone is on best behaviour, set an example,to show it is the police's over reaction and nothing to do with any of the Bulldog organisers, paticipants or patrons. It is very obvious that the local people support the Bulldog and the local authorites, just the police throwing their toys out of their prams

I thought I saw somewhere that the licence granted stands for 10 years.

Could be wrong though, not really sure how these things work.

I would suspect that the aforementioned 'easy nick' will be used to fund it - anyone with a small plate, loud pipe or black visor will get a fixed penalty notice.
