Took me a few minutes to clock the guy's leg leant against the bike -which was obviously the whole point of the picture. Loved the shot of the riders in the storm.
I've got "Two Lane" on DVD if you want to borrow it or can get a copy done in a couple of days.
Like Easyrider, I loved the road shots & the car's beautiful, but thought it was one of the dullest films I've ever seen!

i've seen that before.. I think the guy that took that has an amazing shot of 4 or five riders in the middle of some fields on a highway in the USA...he has turned to look back at them and snapped....cool as fk

I meant like Easyrider -as in, In a similar way to the film Easyrider, Two Lane's star car looks & sounds great & the shots of it on the road are good, but it's a bloody slow, tedious film.

How much is the hot rod drags? IS it just a one dayer. Think this may be in the diary form next year.

18 quid. That's what I paid on the gate on Sunday so not sure if that's the price for the day or all weekend. It's a camping do, open from Friday afternoon onwards.
The Nostalgia Nationals in July are very similar -both feature "proper" 50s hotrods & stripped down primered racers. Great atmosphere -bring your ear plugs cos photos can't convey the continual onslaught of noise!
The "Custom Car" sponsored Allstar Nationals in August are pretty good too but organised by a different body & more expensive. Think I paid 25 quid to get in on the Sunday! All at "Shakespeare County Raceway" in Stratford on Avon -home of the Bulldog Bash.
Or the Billing Aquadrome fun run in Northants in June is a huge weekend gathering of all things hot & roddy.
Or the Surrey Street Rodders' Wheels Day in Aldershot every Good Friday.
Check the NSRA, (National Street Rod Association), website for details of events
http://www.nsra.org.uk/
or have a look at my Photos pages
http://mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/photos.htm
to see what you're missing.
Just cos we're on 2 wheels doesn't mean we can't enjoy 4 too.

I've forgotten -which pickup be that?
Those realistic flames seem to be the in thing at the moment. Done by hand with a small airbrush. Don't suit everything but look great on the right car.
Pops are just the archetypal Brit rod aren't they. Always look good. There was a metallic turquoise Anglia, (posh Ford Pop), there that'd been widened. Predictably, it was called "Wide Angle".

The Pro-street pickup mate... low, possibly a blown big-block in it.

Love Anglia's too mate... and step-side chevy's... and 70's Mustangs... and...

Too many to list, but the missus has accepted that when I have to get a car.. it'll be a Pop or Anglia. She's not happy, but it's a car.
Prior to her being up the duff, I flat-refused to drive a car. I've agreed to get one until the sprog is old enough to go on a Trike.

My ex wife kept nagging me to get a car cos she was fed up with my life revolving around bikes & biking. So I bought a Moggy Minor van. Ended up in the owners' club. Bought 2 more Moggies, matt black, Fiat twin cam motor, flip front etc, etc. Spent every weekend working on them or going to rallies & shows.
She eventually said For God's sake go & buy yourself another bike.

That's along the line of what I'm hoping for!

If i annoy her enough with Cars, she may either learn herself, or put up with V8's drinking loads!

Either way, I'm happy!

Crazy bit is, I've stayed on good terms with my ex & she's now got a Moggy Minor of her own, belongs to the same branch of the owners' club I used to & attends the same rallies!
