Default The new Z900RS from Kawasaki.

Retro is the new (reborn?) scene for bikes and has always been very cult in Japan. Rumours started last year that Kawasaki were going to build a modern retro bike in the 1970s style. The classic UJM bought bang up to date and tbh it does look half decent. The only misdemeanors IMO are the upside down forks should be RWU and the front mudguard brackets are total overkill.

Kawasaki have at the same time given us what they call a "cafe".
Well it isnt a cafe racer to me, but it still looks good.

Yeah the retro look seems to be the new "in thing" but unfortunately its rather hard to implement all the new tech without it looking cluttered and bulky, Triumph have come close, but have ended up with mostly behemoths baring the Bobber.

What goes around comes around! Doesn't look a lot different to the Zephyrs they bought out in the 90s. Most manufacturers seem to be bringing out retro bikes every couple of years.

I don't like the triangulation under the side panel, makes it look like a modern bike with a retro dress up kit on it. The motor doesn't suit the retro style either. Looks good at first glance though and I think it would look good on the road.

I'm not too keen on that triangulation either SS2.
The bike looks top heavy and there's a lot of air under the seat and under the pipes.
I would have preferred the forks to be like those which were fitted to the 1200 Buell if they had to BE USD.
